There are places a person lives that cannot be mapped.
For Shane Evans, that place was sound.

He lived partly in the world and partly in music - because he listened more deeply than most. Songs were where he processed what couldn’t be said. They were where he rested, where he searched, and where truth had room to arrive.

Between the Music is a living archive of Shane’s creative life. It holds the music shaped through years of attention — writing, recording, refining, and returning to what mattered.

What you encounter here is the continuation of something already in motion.

Shane used to call himself a space cowboy.

His studio was filled with stars, light, and instruments oriented toward feeling as much as sound. His imagination was cosmic and expansive, always pattern-seeking, always listening for what connected beneath the surface.

He sometimes referred to this way of working as SEE — The Shane Evans Experience: an invitation to pay attention, feel deeply, and notice what emerges when sound, story, and presence meet.

That language belongs to Shane. It is part of the world Between the Music grew from.

The Steward

My name is Veronica Willinger. I am Shane’s wife and creative partner. This body of work grew through years of shared listening and making, side by side.

Before he passed, Shane trusted me to carry his music forward and to tend what we had built together.

I carry that responsibility as a steward — caring for the music, preserving its context, and allowing it to continue unfolding with integrity.

Each constellation gathers songs, stories, recordings, performances, photographs, and memories from Shane’s creative life. They are arranged by resonance rather than chronology — revealing connections between the music and the life around it. As new constellations arrive, the archive grows.
